Why convert RAW to JPG?
Every modern RAW file (CR2, CR3, NEF, ARW, DNG, RAF, ORF, RW2, etc.) contains a full-resolution JPEG preview that the camera generated. For sharing or archiving, that preview is what you want — we extract it. For full RAW processing with white balance and exposure adjustments, use Lightroom or RawTherapee.
What happens when you click convert
- The page reads your file using a JavaScript or WebAssembly decoder.
- It re-encodes the pixel data as a JPG file.
- One file in, one file back. Several files in, a ZIP back.
Nothing leaves your browser
The whole conversion happens inside this tab. The simplest proof: load the page, kill your internet, run a conversion. Most converters still work.
About RAW
We pull the embedded full-resolution JPEG preview that every camera writes into its RAW files. That preview is the same image you see on the camera's screen and that Lightroom shows by default before you start editing. For full RAW develop with white balance and exposure controls, you need Lightroom, Capture One, or RawTherapee — that's a different workflow.
